Richard Vroom has worked as a photojournalist in 56 countries around the world. After working in Nova Scotia for Readers Digest Books, he knew someday he would move to where his family had descended from. He produced “Cabinetmakers of the Eastern Seaboard” a coffee table book that included his ancestors furniture factory in St. Stephens, New Brunswick. High end real estate and architectural photography have been a passion for him. Working for years with Foreign Affairs Protocol, he handled both the foreign press and photographed the events himself. For over 30 years, he would be off in a Cessna 172 with the door off to do aerial photography. His work has been published in numerous magazines, books and calendars. Doer’s and Dreamers Guide for Nova Scotia Tourism had him all over the province for a summer. Many companies call on him for their stock photography needs. The National Archive currently have approximately 14,688 images of his work.
